File transfer

Copying files using PC-Link isn't very fast. It is recommended to use a program like PHODrive in the console or a card reader instead of the SMC Browser of iGP32.

If you choose one of these choices, it may be useful to "clean" the memory card using programs like DS_Store Cleaner.

Video encoding

Files made with the repari option of iGP32 can reset the console, normally at the end of reproduction. It is better to use DivX Tool to repair files.

Files made with the high quality setting can fit about 60 minutes of video in a 128 MBytes SmartMedia card.

Files made with the medium quality setting can fit about 90 minutes of video in a 128 MBytes SmartMedia card.

Files made with the low quality setting can fit about 120 minutes of video in a 128 MBytes SmartMedia card.

If you have problems when trying to encode a .mov file, and have enough disk space, you can export it to an AVI file without video or audio compression, and then use iGP32 to encode this second file to a GP32 format.

FPK and ZPK installation

The ZPK installer cannot install pirated software. Buy legal software.

In order to make the installation process faster, use the package expansion option and then use PHODrive or a card reader to copy the files to a SmartMedia Card.

Mac OS X Integration

iGP32 is integrated with the operating system so that double clicking on a .FXE or .GXB file in the Finder is all  you will have to do to copy it to the console.

In a same manner it is possible to install a .FPK or .ZPK package in the console or decompress it to your hard disk.
Updates

It is not necessary to visit this website to know if you have the later version of the program. Use the update check option of the Help Menu of the application instead.
